Cool Cat Cramer started the way most of this universe's problems start: a house cat found something he shouldn't have touched. What began as a single strip — a meteor, a curious cat, an unfortunate decision — kept going because the world around Cramer kept getting bigger. Gerald arrived with his own backstory and his own grudges. Wire Man arrived with no backstory at all, which turned out to be funnier.
There was never an outline. Each episode gets drawn when the next part of the story is clear enough to put on paper, which is also why some pages are cleaner than others — the early ones were drawn fast, for an audience of nobody, before there was a reason to slow down and make them presentable.
The tone was never planned either. It arrived on its own: everyone in the Cramer universe acts purely in their own interest, the gross-out jokes sit right next to the sincere ones, and the straightest possible delivery is always funnier than a punchline that announces itself.
This site collects the pages in the order the story happens, not the order they were drawn. New episodes get added as they're finished — right now that means the origins of the three leads. More is coming.
